Nusa Lembongan Island
A short one hour boar ride from Bali aboard a state of the art catamaran and you come across the incredible Nusa Lembongan Island. The water is blue, the ocean is clean, and it is a very different experience to the the typical Balinese escape.
Nusa Lembongan is home to the Hai Tide Beach Resort, an island beach club and ocean pontoon set up for an awesome day of water sports. The island is surrounded by clear blue water, swarming with colourful fish, coral and manta rays. The island is picturesque and it is the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of Bali’s streets.
The resort boasts an awesome over water pontoon that is a short five minute boat ride from the island. The pontoon has some incredible features including a water slide that that takes you from a height, wraps you around and then throws you out into the ocean. The slide is awesome and a wicked experience even if you’re not a little kid. The pontoons other features include diving boards and and snorkelling equipment.
Away from the resort, visitors have the opportunity to experience a traditional Indonesian village. Only a short walk away from the pools and villas and you are in the middle of a local village. There are people speeding by on scooters and animals roaming the streets, it is a very different experience to the rest of the island and Bali as a whole.
If snorkelling or scuba diving is your thing, then Nusa Lembongan is the place from Bali to do it. The ocean is blue and clean and the marine life is extensive. Scuba divers are known to see Manta Rays swimming only slightly off the coast. For the snorkelers, don’t be afraid to duck dive below the surface, when you get deep and amongst the coral is when you’ll experience the colours and the uniqueness that the ocean has to offer.
When it’s time settle up for the night, Hai Tide Beach Resort has some amazing accomodation options giving you the opportunity to wake up on an island paradise. When spending a night on the island, a traditional Lumbung style room is the way to go. The rooms are incredibly aesthetically pleasing and a good nights sleep is bound to be had.
